The mission of the Computer Information Systems major is to train undergraduate
students with an adaptable technical skillset to apply their Business
functional knowledge and Information Systems knowledge in solving
organizational problems. To that end, students learn the following:
• Fundamental Information Systems concepts, methods, approaches, frameworks and
knowledge as it relates to Business functional areas
• Information Systems domain skills in solving and troubleshooting management
problems individually, in a team, or as a team leader
• Ethical, cost-effective, sustainable, and prudent decision-making on
Information Systems project proposals, analysis, design, training,
implementation & maintenance

The program will increase recruitment efforts. Enrollment does not currently justify course offerings as classes are never full. If population does not increase, a recommendation will be made to COBA to consider deactivating program or making it a track within another major. |
